Spring greens have finally arrived.

Which reminds me to post a couple
of winter paintings that were fun to do.

When you’re dying for some bright color

in winter it is tempting to take a few
liberties with nature. These two paintings
pushed the edge a little. I usually
thrive on being faithful to the colors and
drawing in my field studies, this time a
a little fun was needed to brighten up
my winter day.

As a reminder "First Friday"  has
arrived again. In Denver many galleries
stay open late on the first Friday of the month
I'm sure that most major cities have
similar events. They are a great way to get out
and socialize after a long work week. It puts
one in mind of a slower time when people took
leisurely strolls of an evening. Hope you
find one to enjoy.
